Monday Update!

Hello! We had an uneventful appointment today. We started with a Non-Stress Test. This is when they hook you up to some monitors to watch for contractions, for movements and certain things with the babies' heart rates. It showed some contractions, but this is par for the course with me. I've been having them for months. The babes were moving like crazy, and their hearts were beating perfectly! Have you all heard of the old wives tale? That you can determine the gender of your baby by the heart rate? Completely untrue. This entire pregnancy, they have been identical. The tech actually had to come in and shake things around to try to get their rates to change a bit. She was afraid the doc might think there was only one baby in there! That's how close they were.

Then we met with the doctor. Mine is on vacation, so we met with a very nice female doc. She did another cervix check and not too much has changed since last week. I'm about 2cm dilated and still 80% effaced. Back again next Monday for the same things ~ NST and then meet with the doc. That's IF I'm still pregnant in a week!
