When we met with the doctor, he decided to do an exam since I have been having a lot of contractions. Turns out, I'm 1cm dilated and 80% effaced. Sorry if that grosses some of you out! He thinks this will all happen within the next 2 weeks! I told him, I have a feeling it's this week, but he looked at me and said, "you look too calm for it to happen this week, but you never know! I'm here all night, so give me a call if you think you need to come back tonight." I hope he didn't jinx me!
So I go back a week from today for a Non Stress Test, and since he'll be on vacation, I meet with a different doctor. Fine by me... I have faith in all of them there. I'm part of a high risk practice so all of the docs are phenomenal.
The only disturbing news I got today was about my friend Triplet Lindsey. She's 28 weeks pregnant with triplets and was admitted to the L&D floor this afternoon. This is scary not only because she has 3 babies in there, and it's early, but one of her boys has a heart defect. Giving birth now would mean giving birth to very small babies. Brice will need open heart surgery so the bigger and stronger he is, the better. So, for everyone who was praying for me, THANK YOU. But now say a little prayer for Lindsey and her 3 babies please! I was able to visit her since I was already there, and at that time her contractions had lessened and they had high hopes that she would not deliver tonight. Thank goodness!
